Sarah Robertson

Primary Therapist

Sarah Robertson joins New Focus Academy as a Primary Therapist with extensive clinical experience supporting adolescents, families, and individuals through some of life’s most difficult challenges. Most recently, she worked as a Clinical Therapist with North Star Behavioral Health, where she served as a residential therapist for adolescent girls, helping them build the tools needed for healthy, long-term growth.

Sarah’s clinical approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and she has experience leading both individual and family therapy sessions. She is skilled at building genuine rapport with clients, identifying their needs and strengths, and creating treatment plans that evolve as progress is made. Her work has also taken her abroad, including an internship in South Korea supporting youth through individual and group counseling, and to Alaska, where she partnered with a local counseling center to support Alaskan Native youth.

Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Military Resilience, both from Liberty University, where she graduated with honors. She is known for her empathy, her commitment to patient safety and care, and her ability to help clients feel understood as they work toward healthier, more independent lives.
