Kevin Jacobs

LiFT Program Director

Kevin Jacobs brings nearly a decade of hands-on experience supporting young people with behavioral and developmental challenges to his role as LiFT Program Director at New Focus Academy. His background spans special education, behavior support, and residential care across multiple states, including roles with school districts in Utah and Virginia, where he developed and implemented behavior intervention plans for students from pre-K through high school.

Kevin’s experience working within both special and general education settings, including transition programs, has given him a deep understanding of what young people need to build independence and confidence. He has served as a liaison between schools, families, and support staff, and has trained and coached fellow professionals in behavior management and data-driven intervention strategies. This combination of direct student support and program-level leadership makes him well-suited to guide the LiFT program’s mission of helping young adults transition successfully into independence.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Behavior from the University of Utah and an Associate of Science in Communication from San Diego City College. He brings a steady, knowledgeable presence to his work, grounded in years of real-world experience helping individuals navigate behavioral and developmental challenges.
