Dr. Joey Beauchamp, EdD

Academic Director

With 30 years in education, Dr. Joey Beauchamp has worked across nearly every setting a school can offer—different states, every grade level, every income level, and a wide range of student demographics, from public schools to charter schools. A lifelong learner himself, he has welcomed each new environment as a chance to grow, and that breadth of experience has shaped how he leads today.

Dr. Beauchamp spent 18 years as an elementary teacher across Nevada and Texas before moving into school leadership, where he has served as Assistant Principal, Principal, and Assistant Director for the past several years in Texas and Arizona. Much of that work has centered on dropout recovery, helping students who have faced significant setbacks find their way back to a path toward success. He considers this some of the most meaningful work of his career, built on a simple foundation: trust. Students, parents, and teachers know he shows up for their success every day, and that consistency is what allows real growth to happen.

Before returning to education, Dr. Beauchamp served as an Intelligence Analyst with the U.S. Army, an experience he describes as a crash course in leadership and human connection. He went on to earn a Master of Education in Sports Management from the University of Texas at Austin and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from the University of North Texas, building on the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education he earned at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Outside of work, Dr. Beauchamp is a proud father of three and grandfather to one grandchild.
