Haley Cox
Primary Therapist
Haley Cox brings a genuine passion for mental health and psychology to her role as a Primary Therapist at New Focus Academy. Her clinical work draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), giving her a versatile, well-rounded approach to supporting adolescents and families.
Before joining New Focus, Haley worked as an Associate Counselor at Pinebrook Mental Health Therapy, where she supported individuals, couples, families, and groups through a wide range of therapeutic needs. She also completed a counseling internship with Dr. Christy Kane, LLC, working with teens, individuals, and couples, and served as a Night Guide with Roots Transition, where she helped ensure client safety and program consistency during overnight hours.
Haley earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Utah State University, where she graduated ahead of schedule with a minor in Anthropology. During her graduate studies, she earned her Psychological First Aid (PFA) certification and was inducted into the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society and Chi Sigma Iota. Haley’s commitment to ongoing professional growth and her empathetic, detail-oriented approach make her a strong addition to the clinical team.
