Samantha is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults. Adolescence can be a bumpy ride with many twists and turns and ups and downs. Sam’s passion is helping those she works with navigate these challenges and find joy in the journey. By demonstrating compassion, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, Sam is easily able to develop therapeutic rapport and establish a safe space where her clients feel free to be themselves.

Sam received both her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She has training and experience in a multitude of therapeutic modalities and interventions including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution – Focused Therapy, career counseling, family therapy, art therapy, and play therapy. Sam’s experience also includes assessment and appraisal of children and adolescents with a variety of neurodiverse differential diagnoses. Sam has extensive experience working with children and individuals with autism and special needs in a variety of settings including in school and at home. She particularly enjoys utilizing art and play during her sessions to foster creativity and growth throughout the healing process.

Sam is a Southern California native who recently moved to Utah, so it may take her some time to adjust to the cold but she loves being outdoors and anything to do with nature. During her free time Sam enjoys hiking, reading fantasy books, baking anything with chocolate, and spending time with her husband, son, and Goldendoodle, Sully. She also follows instructions from her two cats, Bella and Perseus, as they see her as more of a staff member but she loves them anyway. Sam looks forward to working together with your teen and helping your teen grow and become their best self!
