She has training and experience in a multitude of therapeutic modalities and interventions including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution – Focused Therapy, career counseling, family therapy, art therapy, and play therapy. Sam’s experience also includes assessment and appraisal of children and adolescents with a variety of neurodiverse differential diagnoses. Sam has extensive experience working with children and individuals with autism and special needs in a variety of settings including in school and at home. She particularly enjoys utilizing art and play during her sessions to foster creativity and growth throughout the healing process.
Sam is a Southern California native who recently moved to Utah, so it may take her some time to adjust to the cold but she loves being outdoors and anything to do with nature. During her free time Sam enjoys hiking, reading fantasy books, baking anything with chocolate, and spending time with her husband, son, and Goldendoodle, Sully. She also follows instructions from her two cats, Bella and Perseus, as they see her as more of a staff member but she loves them anyway. Sam looks forward to working together with your teen and helping your teen grow and become their best self!
