Johnny is a soon to be graduate from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He will be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a Minor in Translation and Interpretation and plans to continue his education in Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. During his schooling, he spent time in Cedar City, Ut as a paraprofessional in the middle school there aiding as a tutor in various math and English classes. He has just begun teaching full time this year, but he has been at New Focus working closely with the students since mid-2019. Though his expertise isn’t teaching, it is something that he thoroughly enjoys.
In Johnny’s free time he loves spending time outside with his wife and son, whether it is backpacking or casually picnicking it doesn’t matter, so long as he is outside.. He loves trail running and playing the ukulele, but probably more than anything else, learning to do new things. Because of his dabbling in so many different topics, he often calls himself “a master of nothing, but a doer of everything”.
Johnny looks forward to interacting with students at New Focus and encouraging them to be enthusiastic in the pursuit of their interests.
