Anna Pierotti, MS
Clinical and Neurodevelopmental Therapist
Anna gained her undergraduate degree at Western State Colorado University with a double major in Outdoor Recreation & Spanish. Her graduate school was at Prescott College for Mater of Science in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her interests of study are in somatic psychology and adventure based psychotherapy. Previously, Anna has worked in wilderness adventure therapy focusing on clients with neurodevelopmental differences, adaptive recreation, and therapeutic boarding schools before landing at her new home of New Focus Academy. Anna works with her certified therapy dog Pacha, a playful black Labrador, who is always available for students who need some canine companionship during therapy sessions.
Anna grew up in Durango Colorado enjoying the amazing San Juan wilderness. In her free time Anna enjoys whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, skiing, theatre, watercolors, and international travel. Anna works to incorporate her diverse background in outdoor recreation, theatre, and visual arts into her everyday therapeutic facilitation. Anna has immense passion for, and integral experience helping neurodiverse students. With a wonderful whit and a tremendous heart for our students we know your family will love working with her as much as we love having her as part of our program.
